A TERMLY PUBLICATION OF EARLY BEGINNERS SCHOOL ALAGBOLE – First Term 2021/2022 Academic Session

APPRECIATION

On behalf of the staff and management of the Early Beginners Group of Schools, I express my heartfelt appreciation to our esteemed parents, for your patronage and unflinching support during the just-concluded term.  May the Lord sustain and enlarge your coast.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The term commenced on Monday, 13th September 2021 with the revision of 3rdterm 2020/2021for the first week of resumption. The term was full of activities that cut across the three domains of learning to ensure each learner has balanced education.

DEWORMING

The deworming exercise was administered to pupils whose Parents subscribed for it. This exercise takes place every second week of resumption of a new term to keep them fit and healthy for the term’s activities.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

TERMINAL CLASS

The year 6 pupils CAS and LASGEM examinations registrations are still ongoing. Keep checking the school bill for fees.

COMPETITION

Spelling drills and interclass quiz competitions were conducted in the term.

EVALUATION

The weekly assessment was conducted to put the learners on their toes always in the course of this term.

BREAKFAST DRILL

Breakfast drill for year 6 learners which usually takes place between 7:00 am and 8:00 am took off from the second week and halted on the penultimate week to the examination period. In the meantime, parents are hereby admonished to ensure that their wards resume school latest 7.00 am to participate.

ASP(ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAM)

This program is aimed at addressing areas of difficulties identified in Learnerssuch as spelling, reading, handwriting, calculations, etc) at various levels to promote academic confidence. Extra time was specially created for those learners that fall in this category. Those that were beyond this level were also encouraged to keep it up.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In the just-concluded term, our pupils actively participated in various activities such as dancing, swimming, chess, etc.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS:

The expanded curriculum aimed to better equip our children with skills to augment their academic pursuits was introduced into the school system. Some of these skills include coding, stem, agriculture, etc.

THE COVID-19 GUIDELINES

  The covid-19 guidelines as stated by the Federal and State governments were strictly adhered to as the school emphasized personal hygiene, use of nose masks, washing of hands, and the use of sanitizers as a daily routine for all.

INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

The school marked the pre-independence day on Thursday 30th September 2021, with the theme “Envision Nigeria of our dream” The event featured songs, poems, speeches, debate, dance, etc.

SECURITY CONSCIOUSNESS

It is noteworthy that parents should please be more security conscious and adhere to the policy:

  1. The principal should be informed of any change in arrangement of who picks your child or children after school hours and whoever you authorize should identify with a valid ID card bearing the name provided by you. No child would be released to unidentified person irrespective of the circumstances.
  2. Delivery of food for pupil(s) after the resumption is not allowed. Kindly subscribe for school lunch or ensure your wards come along with lunch pack(s).
  3. Parents should take adequate care of sick or unwell child and desist from sending them to school with medication for teacher or others to administer.
  4. COVID-19 protocols must be adhered at all times.

OPEN  HOUSE

The open house took place on Wednesday 27th October 2021. Many parents were in attendance to liaise with their wards’ class tutors for more progressive improvement in their children’s academic works. The school was greatly commended and all suggestions have been noted for due consideration.

Another opportunity comes up next term before the mid-term break. We look forward to seeing you. However, our doors are open to receive any concerns you have any time without having to wait till the next open day.

TRANSPORTATION

Our team worked hard to ensure hitch-free services this time though one or two issues were effectively managed. We promise to continue to soar higher and appeal to our esteemed parents to further encourage them by getting their wards ready early without delaying the buses.

Matogun route- We will not be plying this route for reasons beyond our control and apology for the inconvenience this might cause.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

The Management will leave no stone unturned to ensure best practices and standards are achieved and sustained.

Internal and external inspectors carried out their duties in the term.

Teachers’ conduct, teaching methodology, and other expected attributes of a good professional teacher were checked as supervisors visit classes during the teaching/learning process to ensure the standard.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

One of our core values is to Improve our human resources and quality delivery services. The term witnessed periodically in-service training staff to update our staff on their service delivery.

STAFF APPRECIATION DAY

The year 2020/2021 Staff Appreciation was held on 7th October 2021.

Members of staff of the Early Beginners Group of Schools across the country were recognized and commended for their hard work and dedication by the school management.  Among the merit awardees were –

EXAMINATION

2021/2022 First-time examination scheduled to hold from Wednesday 2nd to Friday, 10th December 2021 was successfully conducted.

VACATION

The school vacates for 1st term 2021-2022 on Thursday 16th December 2021.

Please be reminded our fees payment policy remains that your ward will be expected to present proof of full payment on the date of resumption.
